This is my detailed review of the 2025 10th-generation of the Lenovo Legion Pro 7i series, Lenovo’s most powerful 16-inch laptop meant for sustained workloads and gaming. This series is sold as the Legion Pro 7 in some markets, including here in Europe, and as the Legion Pro 7i on the North American market.

This is my detailed review of the 2025 generation of the Asus ROG Zephyrus G14. The Zephyrus G14 is a highly popular series of thin-and-light laptops with serious performance capabilities, and we’ve discussed and tested all variants launched over the years. This most recent iteration is a refresh of the 2024 G14, a little thicker and heavier, but otherwise a similar chassis with similar features and functionality.

In this brief article we’re discussing gaming at 4K display resolution on the latest Intel Core Ultra 9 HX + Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 configurations tested in the Asus ROG Scar 18 and ROG Scar 16 notebooks, with later updates for other devices as we get to review them.

As mentioned throughout my reviews, while most gaming laptops available today offer some sort of power profile optimized for silent use around 35 dBA, these modes are usually aggressively power-capped. Thus, especially for full-size laptops, these profiles don’t maximize the performance potential possible on this sort of profile. You’re getting quiet fan noise and excellent thermals, but usually poor performance.

Like Andrei, I too got a chance to review the 2025 Asus ROG Flow Z13. I’ve had it for about a month and have been using it as my daily driver this whole time. It was a pretty easy transition for me too, since I used to carry around a Surface Pro 3/4 as my travel laptop in the past, before I switched to an iPad. So, besides a minor quirk, I was fine with the form factor. But I’m pleasantly surprised by the performance, particularly the gaming performance.
