As mentioned throughout my reviews, while most gaming laptops available today offer some sort of power profile optimized for silent use around 35 dBA, these modes are usually aggressively power-capped. Thus, especially for full-size laptops, these profiles don’t maximize the performance potential possible on this sort of profile. You’re getting quiet fan noise and excellent thermals, but usually poor performance.

Like Andrei, I too got a chance to review the 2025 Asus ROG Flow Z13. I’ve had it for about a month and have been using it as my daily driver this whole time. It was a pretty easy transition for me too, since I used to carry around a Surface Pro 3/4 as my travel laptop in the past, before I switched to an iPad. The description states that "The Compute Title is completely redesigned over Raptor Lake, and built on TSMC’s 3nm N3B process.", but in the table TSMC 6N process technology. How to understand this? And the consumption level clearly indicates that there is no "3NB" there, otherwise it would exceed Zen5 with "4nm", and Zen5 consumption is lower in the HX series.
