Ulusal Kanal

Ulusal Kanal, known as the National Channel in English, is a privately-owned television station in Turkey that has been in operation since 2000. The channel focuses on news and political content and has connections to the Patriotic Party. In 2011, it was subject to a police raid during the Ergenekon investigation. Although the channel possesses the equipment for 1080i HD broadcasting, it currently transmits in 576i@50 fields/s SD. Ulusal Kanal's funding comes from a mix of advertising and merchandise sales.
