United Nations Correspondents Association

The U.N. Correspondents Association, known as UNCA, is a professional group made up of more than 200 reporters and producers from various countries. This organization, which was established in 1948, includes members from a wide range of publications, news agencies, and broadcasters from all over the globe. Since 1955, the UNCA has had a formal relationship with the Secretary General of the United Nations, which is acknowledged each year by the United Nations General Assembly; the latest recognition occurred in 2018. UNCA advocates for the U.N. press corps, addressing matters concerning news coverage and access to information sources at the United Nations.
