In a response filed Thursday in the Third Circuit Court of Appeals, attorney Matthew Litt seized upon a curious line of reasoning by BetMGM‘s lawyers in Sam A. Antar’s ongoing civil suit against the online casino operator. Antar, the nephew of the infamous New York-area electronics impresario “Crazy Eddie” Antar, and Litt are arguing that BetMGM and some associated parties, including Borgata, are liable for millions of dollars in casino losses that led to the younger Antar’s imprisonment.

Bally’s had a ceremonial ribbon cutting for its VIP Lounge at its temporary downtown Chicago casino at Medinah Temple on Monday. The lounge is located on the third floor near the table games area, adjacent to baccarat and blackjack tables. It is also a few steps from the VIP Services area. Bally’s is nearing its one-year anniversary at the fabled River North landmark, having opened the doors to its temporary casino Sept. 9.

The Michigan Gaming Control Board reported $106.3 million in adjusted gross revenue for Detroit’s three casinos in July on Tuesday, which represented a slight decrease from 2023. The figure, which does not include retail sports betting at the venues, was down 0.4% from the $106.7 million generated in July 2023. It was, however, a 1.7% increase from the $104.6 million claimed in June.

Months after 75 Times Square businesses threw their support behind plans to build a casino in Manhattan’s twinkliest neighborhood, 17 trade unions have now done the same, according to amNewYork. The Times Square proposal is a collaboration between Caesars Entertainment, SL Green, and Jay Z’s Roc Nation that would convert a 54-story office building on Broadway between W. 44th and W. 45th Streets into a full-bore casino.
