Virginia Lawyer magazine, which now includes the Virginia Lawyer Register, serves as the official magazine of the Virginia State Bar. It reaches a broad audience including attorneys, judges, general readers, law libraries, other state bar organizations, and media outlets, with a total circulation of approximately 50,000 copies. The magazine is published six times a year in February, April, June, August, October, and December. Each edition features in-depth articles on various legal topics, informative content about the bar and its activities, letters from readers, professional announcements, updates on rule changes, ethics opinions, disciplinary news, classified listings, and advertisements.
