WALR-FM is a radio station that plays urban adult contemporary music and is located in Atlanta, Georgia. This station operates under the "Kiss FM" brand name, specifically referred to as "Kiss 104," and is owned by Cox Media Group, making it their primary urban contemporary station. Licensed to Greenville, WALR-FM broadcasts with a powerful 100-kilowatt signal on the 104.1 megahertz (MHz) frequency, which is near Newnan. Originally, the radio transmitter was situated in LaGrange, and there is a construction permit for a translator for its sister station WSB-TV in that area. In late 2004, WALR transitioned to a new tower and began offering broadcasts in IBOC digital radio, utilizing the HD Radio system from iBiquity. The station's studios are located with its radio partners and WSB-TV in midtown Atlanta. Additionally, WALR-FM serves as the Atlanta affiliate for The Tom Joyner Morning Show.
