The company was established in 1990 when Time Inc. merged with Warner Communications, originally operating under the name Time Warner. Its holdings include WarnerMedia Entertainment, which encompasses the entertainment divisions of Turner, HBO, Otter Media, and Cinemax, along with the HBO Max streaming platform. Additionally, WarnerMedia News & Sports includes the news and sports divisions of Turner and AT&T SportsNet. Warner Bros. is another key part of the company, featuring film, animation, and television studios, DC Comics, New Line Cinema, family-friendly assets from Turner, and a 50% stake in The CW.
