Washington Jewish Week
Washington Jewish Week (WJW) is a standalone weekly publication that has been dedicated to the Jewish community in the Washington, D.C. area since 1930. Its logo proudly states, "Serving the nation's capital and the greater Washington Jewish community since 1930." The newspaper's headquarters can be found in Rockville, Maryland, a suburb just outside of the District of Columbia.

Kaufman not only sings and leads the congregation but also incorporates social justice into his day-to-day life. He holds leadership roles in the Union for Reform Judaism, notably with the American Conference of Cantors and the Religious Action Center, and he writes social justice-related blog posts through the latter.

A new kosher cafe is coming to Silver Spring — Cafe K on Spring Street will open its doors to customers in early June, offering fresh bagels, kosher eats and gourmet coffee. The business will take the place of the former David’s Cafe location inside an office building. Cafe K is a family business, with owner Dan Kugler working to open the eatery for his son-in-law, Shai Kornblau, who Kugler said has always wanted to have his own cafe.
