Waycross Journal-Herald

Historians from Waycross-Ware County reveal that the current print and online editions of the Waycross Journal-Herald have their roots in the city's very first newspaper, the Waycross Headlight. This publication was managed by Dr. Daniel Lott and Dr. William B. Folks, who were among the founders of Waycross. Notably, the newspaper initially began in the nearby town of Pearson before moving to the more populous Waycross in 1876.
