Morgan, a single mother of a 5-year-old son, remains on life support in critical condition at WellStar MCG. Doctors have reportedly told Morgan's family that if she wakes up, the road to recovery will be a long one.

    The investigation continues into the death this week of 16-month-old Trae'son Dunn in Augusta. EMS was called to a home in the 2200 block of Ward Avenue early June 3 after the child's mother, Genysis Mortley, discovered the child wasn't breathing. An incident report from the Richmond County Sheriff's Office says EMS told a responding deputy that Trae'son may have overdosed on what they believed was methadone, and possibly another substance.

    An investigation is underway in Richmond County after a child was found dead in a home in the 2200 block of Ward Avenue early this morning. Richmond County Coroner Mark Bowen pronounced the 16-month-old child dead at 5:15 a.m. The cause of death is believed to be suspicious, according to Bowen. An autopsy has been scheduled. Bowen said a second child in the home was transported by EMS to Children's Hospital of Georgia. The child's condition was not known.

    Following a months-long investigation, narcotics officials with the Richmond County Sheriff's Office took a man linked to a major Drug Trafficking Organization in Augusta-Richmond County into custody on Sunday, June 1. The Richmond County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Division and the Crime Suppression Division executed search warrants in the 200 block of East Hale Street; the 100 block of Tybee Court; and the 1300 block of Marks Church Road (apartment complex).
