Grand Haven, MI (WGHN) – Sweet Temptations is proud to announce the winners of this year’s Cool School Competition—a delicious partnership between area schools and our local ice cream stores. This year’s event raised $8,658.58 for 16 area schools, bringing the program’s total community contribution to over $120,898 since it began in 2008. At Skoops, Griffin Elementary emerged as the top school, earning $1,547.79 in a close contest with Robinson and Peach Plains.

(Detroit, MI) – Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem says members of international gangs are now trying to enter the U.S. through the Canadian border. Noem said Friday in Detroit that members of the Mara Salvatrucha known as MS-13 gang have been attempting to enter the U.S. from Canada in recent months.
