WHTA FM, also known as "Hot 107.9," is a popular urban radio station in Atlanta, Georgia, primarily featuring hip-hop music. The station has been operating under this name since fall 2001, when owner Radio One transitioned the programming format and callsign from "Hot 97.5," which is now WUMJ FM, known as "Boom 102.9/97.5." WHTA FM is licensed in Hampton, Georgia, with its radio tower situated in Tyrone, while the studio is located in the Centennial Tower in downtown Atlanta. Notably, the station played a significant role in launching the career of renowned rapper Ludacris, who initially appeared on-air as "Chris Lova Lova," along with MTV VJs La La Anthony and K.K. Holiday.
