Photo by David Buono/Icon Sportswire via Getty Images What was previously a quiet offseason for the Iowa State football program is no more, as the Associated Press, via ESPN, reported that five former staff members on the 2022 Iowa State football team were found by the 2023 Iowa DCI investigation into sports gambling at the state’s three major public universities to have placed more than 6,200 bets on men’s and women’s basketball games totaling more than $100,000 (roughly $16.13 per wager).
