MONTANDON – There will be a daytime road closure next week on Housels Run Road in Montandon, West Chillisquaque Township, Northumberland County, for a pipe replacement project. Starting Monday, April 14, Housels Run Road will be closed between Route 45 and Sodom Road, while a PennDOT maintenance crew replaces a cross pipe. Work includes milling of the roadway, removal of the deteriorated cross pipe, installation of the new pipe, back filling, and paving.

SELINSGROVE — A big grant coming to the REC in Snyder County. The Selinsgrove Regional Engagement Center (REC) has been awarded $167,000 through the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency’s BOOST program. The grant is part of $11.6 million distributed statewide to support at-risk youth. Other local recipients include Firetree Place in Lycoming County, which will receive $175,000, and the Paul W. Delauter Youth Center in Juniata County, awarded $20,000.
