WLPR-FM (Lowell, IN)

WLPR-FM is a public radio station that broadcasts at 89.1 MHz from Lowell, Indiana, and caters to the Northwest Indiana area. It is a noncommercial station owned and run by Northwest Indiana Public Broadcasting, Inc., which also operates the PBS station WYIN (channel 56). This makes WLPR an excellent alternative to Chicago's WBEZ for listeners in the eastern parts of the Chicago market. The station transmits from the WZVN tower located on SR-55, just north of SR-2.
