WMKV-FM (Reading, OH)

WMKV (89.3 FM) is a radio station located in Reading, Ohio, a suburb of Cincinnati. It holds the distinction of being the first FM educational public radio station licensed to a retirement community and also offers a live streaming option online. Broadcasting from the Maple Knoll Village campus, WMKV features a variety of content, including talk shows, classic programs from the golden age of radio, and a selection of musical standards along with big band tunes. Additionally, the station airs the audio from WKRC-TV's morning and evening news broadcasts. Its transmitter operates with an effective radiated power of 410 watts. Since July 2013, WMKV’s programming has also been available on WLHS 89.9 FM, operated by Lakota Local School District. Apart from its live streaming services, listeners can access three of WMKV's programs as podcasts on iTunes: "WMKV World Front," "WMKV Computer Talk," and "The Big Broadcast."
