WMSP-AM (Montgomery, AL)

WMSP (740 AM), known as "Sports Radio 740," is a radio station that operates in Montgomery, Alabama, USA. It is owned by Cumulus Media, with its broadcast license managed by Cumulus Licensing LLC. The station was initially licensed in 1953 under the name WBAM, playing contemporary and country music before switching to sports talk programming in 1995 and adopting the WMSP callsign. The WMSP studios are situated on the 3rd floor of The Colonial Financial Center in downtown Montgomery, while the transmitter tower is located on the northeast side of the city.
