WPSU-FM (State College, PA)
WPSU Penn State is a member station of PBS and NPR, operating under Penn State Outreach. It serves as a reliable source for news, information, and educational content for the community. As a modern media organization, WPSU develops, curates, and shares content across various screens, both large and small. We act as a community partner by addressing local issues that contribute to larger national discussions and by telling stories that reflect our local culture, history, and environment. Our focus is on making an educational impact, engaging the community, and enhancing student experiences, while also broadening our audience through online, broadcast, and in-person initiatives. We aim to enrich public media's significance for everyone by offering services like the community calendar, Bookmark, WPSU’s Story Corps, and the Our Town series, which celebrate and represent the unique history and spirit of the communities we serve. WPSU-TV and WPSU-FM reach out to 24 and 13 counties, respectively. Operating primarily in a rural area, WPSU ensures that its content is accessible through over-the-air, cable, satellite, and digital platforms, providing free access to all Pennsylvanians.
