Natalia Markova def. Hunter The stipulation was that Markova would've never again been able to challenge Kenzie Paige for the NWA World Women's Championship had she lost here. I realized this was an intergender match, but I'm actually surprised it was as competitive as it was considering Hunter hasn't been positioned as any sort of a threat (I honestly don't recall him wrestling in the NWA prior to this). It was fine and Markova won as she should have.

Ethan Page def. NXT Heritage Cup Champion Lexis King, Wes Lee and Eddy Thorpe in an NXT North American Championship No. 1 Contender's Fatal 4-Way Match (Non-Title) All of these guys being heels and Ricky Saints being a babyface added some uncertainty to the outcome, but it was still pretty predictable that Page was winning considering the seeds were planted weeks ago. Nonetheless, this was a fun Fatal 4-Way filled with entertaining action.

World Heavyweight Champion Gunther Addressed Jey Uso This was a necessary promo from Gunther to follow up on what Jey said to him on last week's Raw. He showed a different side to himself now that Jey isn't afraid anymore and I thought he carried himself exceptionally well. He's actually stepped up his mic skills big time over the last year and I don't think that's been acknowledged enough. This was a strong segment to start the show. Bayley def.
