WRIG-AM (Schofield, Wisconsin)

WRIG (1390 AM) is a radio station that focuses on sports programming. It is based in Schofield, Wisconsin, and serves the Wausau area. The station is owned by Midwest Communications and features content from Fox Sports Radio. WRIG originally started at 1400 kHz in Wausau with a Top 40 music format. In 1985, it changed its frequency to 1390 kHz and transitioned to an Oldies format. From 1993 to 2006, the station aired Dial-Global's "Adult Standards" format, followed by the Oldies Channel until it adopted the FOX Sports Radio format in 2009.
