WRKS, known as "The Zone," broadcasts at 105.9 FM and is based in Pickens, Mississippi, even though its studio is situated in Ridgeland, Mississippi. The station began operations on July 2, 2009, and focuses on a sports format, featuring programming from ESPN Radio. WRKS is owned by Alpha Media, managed through Alpha Media Licensee LLC. Alongside five other affiliated stations, its studios are in Ridgeland, a suburb of Jackson, while the transmitter tower is located in Canton.
