WTAT-TV (Charleston, SC)

WTAT-TV, which operates on virtual channel 24 and UHF digital channel 17, is a Fox-affiliated TV station based in Charleston, South Carolina, serving the Lowcountry region. The station is owned by Cunningham Broadcasting, a company headquartered in Baltimore and associated with the Sinclair Broadcast Group. Although Sinclair is the primary owner of WTAT-TV due to the majority ownership of Cunningham's stock by the late founder Julian Smith's family, WTAT-TV is one of only two stations owned by Cunningham that Sinclair does not manage. The other is WYZZ-TV in Peoria, Illinois, which is run by Nexstar Media Group alongside that area's CBS affiliate, WMBD-TV. WTAT-TV’s studio is situated on Arco Lane in North Charleston, while its transmitter can be found in Awendaw, South Carolina.
