WVHC-FM (Herkimer, NY)

WVHC (91.5 FM) is a radio station that features a Variety format. It is based in Herkimer, New York, and is owned by Herkimer County Community College, with operations managed by the college’s Radio/TV Department. The station originally launched in 1973 as WHCR, serving as a public address system that only broadcasted to the Robert McLaughlin College Center. In 1986, WHCR expanded its reach by starting to simulcast programming on the college's television station, HCTV, which is a Public-access cable TV channel available through Group W Cable (now known as Charter Spectrum), the designated cable provider for Herkimer County.
