WVON, known as "The Voice of A Nation," is a radio station based in Berwyn, Illinois, that caters to the greater Chicago area with a focus on African-American talk programming. The station is operated by Midway Broadcasting Corporation and broadcasts on the 1690 kHz frequency through a local marketing agreement with iHeartMedia, Inc., the frequency's owner. WVON's studios are located in the Avalon Park neighborhood on Chicago's South Side, while its transmitter tower can be found at the intersection of 87th and Kedzie on the southwest side of the city.
