WYXY-FM (Savoy, IL)

WYXY is a radio station broadcasting at 99.1 MHz and is based in Savoy, Illinois. It is owned by Saga Communications' Illini Radio Group. Originally, the station went by the callsigns WIAI and WXLS before being sold to Saga Communications in 2004, at which point it adopted the name WXTT. During that time, it was popularly known as Extra 99.1. In January 2010, the WXTT format transitioned to 100.3 WIXY-HD2 and its analog translator 92.1 W221CK in Champaign, while the "WIXY Classic" format, which was in testing, moved to 99.1. On January 9, 2010, the station officially changed its callsign to WYXY.
