Mrs. Watkins was born April 1, 1942, in Jamestown, AL, daughter of the late Jack Starling Thomas and Maggie Tankersly Thomas. Prior to her retirement, she was employed with Massey Grocery. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Watkins; and several brothers and sisters.

Mr. Hughes was born December 6, 1940, to Jack and Lula Mann Hughes. He was retired from Thompson Enterprise in Kennesaw, GA, and was a part-time employed for Chattooga County for several years after his retirement. Mr. Hughes enjoyed studying the Bible and deer hunting with his brother, Rayburn.

She also enjoyed watching golf, crime dramas, and cowboy and western movies.
