They say that Gen Z and Gen Alpha are addicted to their screens to an alarming degree. But to be honest, even older generations may be even more glued to various, multiple devices. Not only that, the constant barrage of notifications and digital distractions can be overwhelming. Of course we cannot truly stay away from our mobile phones, tablets, laptops, etc, but there should be a way to do an intentional digital detox every once in a while.

When I go to a bathroom outside my home, I probably don’t remember what the sink looks like. What I’ll remember is whether or not the faucet was working especially if I really needed water at that time. But every once in a while, a design would capture my attention especially if it has an intentional aesthetic. I used to laugh at this triangular shaped low building that I passed by every day on my way to work. I always wondered how anyone can actually use that building given its weird shape. It eventually got torn down so I guess the owner and architects had a hard time creating something out of that. That didn’t seem to be a problem for an Australia-based architecture firm as they were able to transform this oddity into an eye-catching home in a quiet corner of Melbourne.

Legos have always been more of a creative endeavor than just a mere toy for kids. Actually, there may be more adults who own Lego sets and make Lego builds than actual kids (although most parents start them young). It’s always interesting to see what new (and expensive) builds that Lego comes up with but sometimes there are things that people want to see but they would have to come up with on their own. That’s when your creativity (and a little math and engineering) really comes in.
