There’s lots to appeal to fans in Tears of the Kingdom: the storyline and subplots, the Sky Islands and the Depths, the cooking, and the gossip about certain characters. One of the game’s most talked-about features is the ability to build all kinds of different machines, including flying machines. Zonai Wings, fans, hot air balloons, and steering controls all make it easy (or at least, easier) for players to explore the game’s world from the air.

Before its launch, some might have worried that Tears of the Kingdom was just glorified, full-priced DLC for Breath of the Wild. That worry is completely misplaced. Not only is Tears of the Kingdom a worthy game in its own right, it is an absolute must-have for any Zelda fan.

David Erick Ramos, an ocarina specialist you may have seen on YouTube or at gaming events like PAX, has been raising funds via Kickstarter for an online virtual ocarina museum. The crowd-funding campaign is nearing its end – there are just 3 days to go – and still needs more fans of our favorite instrument to help make the museum a reality. While we all know the ocarina from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, the instrument has been used in various forms for thousands of years.

Fuse is a new ability in Tears of the Kingdom that lets you combine two items or objects to create enhanced melee weapons, shields, and arrows. Fusion can increase attack power, add additional effects, or enhance range. Ultrahand is the name of a new ability in Tears of the Kingdom that allows you to pick up objects to move them around and connect them to other objects. Ultrahand uses a mysterious green glue to combine objects. By connecting objects you can create vehicles such as rafts/boats, flying machines, and cars/tractors. Unlike the Magnesis ability in Breath of the Wild, Ultrahand seems to be able to pick up nearly any object. However, the exact limitations on its ability to grab objects is not yet known.

Tears of the Kingdom was not at PAX East this past weekend, but North American fans did get a chance to take photos with the life size Link statue that was shown in Japan last year. However, on Sunday, the community was rumbling with rumors of an imminent announcement coming on Tuesday. I was pretty quick to dismiss it as a baseless rumor, but perhaps there was some truth to it as Nintendo as just announced a Tears of the Kingdom gameplay presentation on Tuesday, March 28.
