The nice weather continues into the work week as high pressure moves overhead. Expect highs in the 70s for most on Monday, with the Cape & Islands a little cooler in the 60s. It will also be breezy again but with a southwesterly wind, acting to warm us up even more. Unsettled weather returns midweek with a spot shower on Wednesday and scattered showers on Thursday. A nice day on tap for Mother’s Day, with sunshine and high temperatures expected in the 60s and low 70s. The only takeaway will be a light northwesterly wind that may make conditions a tad breezy in spots. High pressure remains in control for the next few days before it gives way to another slow-moving storm. Expect rain to move back in for the middle and end of the week, but not as much of a washout as the last system.

After having some summer-like weather this weekend, cooler weather is on the way to start the work week. Temperatures will be in the 50s and 60s Monday along with a southeasterly breeze off the water. Showers are also expected in the forecast but Monday is not expected to be a complete washout. Rain chances increase into Tuesday and Wednesday as a low pressure system gets closer to the area. Upwards of 2 inches of rainfall is possible by Wednesday evening in spots.

After a hot summer-like day Saturday, cooler weather is in the forecast Sunday after storms moved through the area. We’ll start the day with a few showers, clouds, and even fog for some, with better conditions for the afternoon. Although a few showers are possible again later in the day, Sunday is expected to be mostly dry. Wet weather returns for the work week, with the best chance for rain on Tuesday.

High pressure will slide east Thursday, with more nice weather expected in the forecast. The only change will be winds out of the south to southeast, which will allow the ocean air to move in so it’ll be cooler by the coast. As we move towards the weekend, a couple weather systems are expected to allow rain chances to return. Although we are expecting some rain, it will be warm going into the first half of the weekend, before cooler conditions return.

Typical cold spots may have frost tomorrow morning. Be sure to cover plants that are sensitive to the cold. Locations close to the coast should be fine. Best chance for frost will be in Southern New Hapshire or Connecticut River Valley. https://t.co/sWhv3xrPEY
