A heat wave is expected for most of the area over the next 3 days, with temperatures in the 90s and heat index values in the low 100s. An extreme heat warning has been issued for most of Southern New England for Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. Make sure to keep cool and stay hydrated as this heat could easily lead to heat stroke if you’re not careful. After the warmest day, Tuesday, temperatures fall back to more seasonable highs by the end of the week.

Temperatures will be on the rise this week, with 80s and 90s expected by the weekend. Monday will start the week with 70s, some 60s along the coast, under partly sunny skies. By Wednesday temperatures reach the 80s, with the warmest day of the week being Thursday. Showers and storms will accompany the heat but there are no washout days expected.

After having rain for the 13th Saturday in a row, dry weather is expected Sunday as a Canadian high pressure system heads towards Southern New England. Although it is expected to be dry, clouds will persist. Areas north of Boston have the best chance to see sunshine Sunday, but it will still be cloudy for most until the afternoon. Temperatures will be on the rise this week again, with some spots possibly reaching 90 on Thursday.
Rain returns Monday

Showers are back in the forecast Monday as a low pressure system heads in to New England from the Midwest. Expect rain to start late morning Monday and linger into the early afternoon. Although the shower activity will be light, there may be a few heavier showers for the South Coast, Cape, and Islands; closer to the low pressure system. Monday isn’t the only day that will have rain this week as a cold front is set to move through the area Tuesday as well.
Dry weather returns Sunday

Yet another weekend with rain on Saturday, but Sunday’s forecast is looking better… Temperatures will be cooler however, with temperatures starting in the 50s and warming up to the 70s by afternoon. Although there will be sunshine for most of the day, there will be some clouds during the afternoon. There will also be a sea breeze so most of the coastline won’t make it out of the 60s, but at least it’ll be dry.

After a cool start to June, some hot days are ahead as temperature climb close to 90 this week. Monday starts the week off as a nice, seasonable day with sunshine and temps in the 70s. Tuesday will also be in the 70s but continue the warming trend. By Wednesday temperatures hop into the 80s and could reach 90 Thursday. The humidity will also return, with muggy air back by Wednesday.

After another less than ideal Saturday, Sunday looks to feature drier and sunnier weather. Starting in the morning, it’s expected to be mostly sunny but cool with temps in the 50s. By the afternoon, some fair weather clouds should develop as winds pick up behind Saturday’s storm system. Temperatures Sunday afternoon will only make it into the upper 60s due to the northwesterly breeze. If you’re looking for summerlike weather, there are some 80s in store later this week.

A few showers are possible Monday as a trough remain in place over New England. Although Monday will start sunny, clouds are expected to build by the afternoon with a few showers expected. Nearly all of the shower action should stay west of Boston, with sunshine sticking to the coastline. Temperatures will also be a tad cooler by the coast, but could reach low 70s west of Boston.

After a few showers moved through the area Saturday, Sunday’s forecast should feature less shower activity as the remnants of the Nor’easter push eastward. Temperatures Sunday should range in the 60s, with a couple spots possibly nearing 70. Although there is a chance for a spot shower Sunday afternoon, Sunday morning is expected to be dry with more sunshine. For Memorial Day shower chances increase to 30% but temperatures will jump up another 5-8 degrees, with highs in the mid 60s to low 70s.

After a stretch of summer-like weather, much cooler weather is on the way as the jet stream dips southward. Temperatures to start the week will be in the 60s, which is around average, so Monday’s forecast isn’t too chilly…However, it gets much colder this week, with highs in the 50s for the rest of the week. The coldest day is expected on Thursday as highs fall into the upper 40s and low 50s, about 15 degrees below average.
