A synthetic color additive made from petroleum and chemically known as erythrosine, red dye No. 3 is used to give foods and beverages a bright cherry-red color.

cannabis A man in his 40s has been arrested following the seizure of cannabis worth €400,000 (£338,000). This follows a search conducted by An Garda SÃochána (Irish police) in Swords, County Dublin, on Saturday. During this search, 40 vacuum-sealed bags of cannabis with a combined weight of 20kg were seized, along with €7,000 (£6,000) in cash. Gardaà said the drugs will be sent for forensic analysis.
