The Andhra Pradesh State Cabinet has approved the proposal to construct a flood protection wall along the right margin of the Krishna, from 0.9 km to 2.61 km downstream the Prakasam Barrage in Vijayawada. Addressing the media at the Secretariat on Friday, Information and Public Relations (I&PR) Minister Kolusu Parthasarathy said the flood protection wall aimed at mitigating the recurring flood-related issues.
