The rear seats, however, have scant legroom for passengers. It’ll be fine for kids, but adults will need whoever’s sitting up front to adjust their seats forward — meaning putting two grown-ups in the back will result in four people being uncomfortable. Stuffing a fifth person in between the outboard backseat passengers would be truly unpleasant; the bench just isn’t wide enough. The backseat isn’t oddly positioned or too low, there just isn’t enough space to keep everyone comfy.

You don’t really buy a GTI for its looks; based on the Golf compact hatchback, the style of the thing is just form following function. Rather, it’s the car’s chassis tuning, powertrain performance, steering feel, ride-and-handling balance, and driving position that turns VW’s mundane commuter car — named after a boring sport that involves a lot of walking — into an enthusiast legend.

Golden Age of Travel InteriorOne of the most striking things about the concept’s cabin is its lack of any large displays. Is it a sign that the screen-based arms race in the luxury segment has reached its end? Time will tell, but the simplicity of the dashboard is refreshing. That’s not to say there aren’t any screens, as there are actually a total of seven smaller ones: three in front of the steering wheel and four inset in the middle of the dash.

Cargo RoomWhat the K4 Hatchback lacks in length versus the sedan, it makes up for in an open cargo area that expands with a 60/40-split, folding backseat on the GT-Line Turbo I sampled. I didn’t observe any underfloor storage, and the cargo area appears to be shallower and less roomy than the Civic hatchback’s, though we’ll have to wait for our official cargo testing to compare cargo volume.

Quicker Than ExpectedWhere the Trailseeker surprises is its powertrain — a dual-motor setup for standard all-wheel drive is expected, of course, but its total output is an estimated 375 horsepower, more than the 338 hp that the 2026 Solterra produces in the XT trim. Subaru says that’s good for a 0-60 mph sprint of 4.3 seconds, which is legit quick.

Oh my God. #babyyoda #babyyodamemes #themandalorian #disneyplus https://t.co/oFKDi5qcMJ

Beginning to think that something is wrong with all of @Delta’s #A321 aircraft. This is the third one I’ve been on in the last month where Comfort Plus is a freakin sauna, but the rest of the plane is fine. #openawindow

The front half of @Delta Flight 401 is fucking sweltering and the FA tells us all that it’s “a design flaw of the aircraft,” which is bullshit. I’ve flown 737-900ERs I dunno how many times over the years. This plane is broken. Get mechanics on it before it leaves DTW next.
