ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) - Mount Spurr remains under an advisory, as an eruption like those in 1953 and 1992 is still possible. However, a combination of recent possible changes within the mountain and the Alaska Volcano Observatory’s (AVO) inability to detect volcanic gases via air or satellite data has led to some uncertainty in the current unrest.

We'll see several hours of dry time today, before additional bands of snow and rain move inland. While most locations will start off as snow, areas of the Mat-Su and parts of the Kenai could see a transition to some rain/snow mix into the early evening. https://t.co/NvVgG1BcjE
