Well, it’s finally here. CMA Fest officially kicks off today, bringing four days of nonstop music and hundreds of thousands of visitors to downtown Nashville. Well that wasn’t what I was expecting from that duo…but I’m not mad at it. Lukas Nelson, son of the legendary Willie Nelson and an incredible artist in his own right, was in Nashville tonight performing in the Neon Steeple at Eric Church‘s downtown bar, Chief’s. The show was just one of many going on tonight in Nashville as CMA Fest week kicks off, but from the looks of it, it was the one you didn’t want to miss.

Can’t we just enjoy the show? Taylor Sheridan has yet another massive hit on his hands with the success of his latest series Landman. The show from the creator of Yellowstone features an all-star cast including Billy Bob Thornton, Demi Moore, Andy Garcia, Ali Larter, Jacob Lofland, and Michelle Randolph, among others, and follows a landman for an oil company, played by Thornton, trying to navigate the West Texas oil business and all that comes with it during an oil boom.

That’s just what happens after two decades, 8 albums, and a fanbase as passionate as the “Church Choir” who know all of the words to every song. There’s no doubt that each song he’s recorded has special meaning to Church in one way or another – especially given the fact that he’s had a hand in writing all but a handful of songs that he’s released over the years.

Can’t be giving away his location like that. Celebrities have a hard enough time keeping their private life out of the public eye. From paparazzi waiting to snap pictures to fans who are always around trying to record videos on their cell phone any time they see someone famous out in public, there’s no doubt that it can be tough when you want to just get away and live a normal life for a little while. And you definitely don’t want a billboard advertising your location.
