(WFIE) - Kentucky Wesleyan College officials have announced a groundbreaking Guaranteed Admission initiative for qualified students from Daviess and Hancock Counties, beginning with the Fall 2026 enrollment cycle. According to a press release, students who meet academic eligibility requirements will be automatically granted admission, removing barriers and creating a clear, supportive transition from high school to college.

    EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - An Evansville woman has been sentenced after being charged with child neglect resulting in the death of an 11-month-old child. According to court records, Kaytlen Dossett has been sentenced to two years’ probation after reaching a plea agreement. As we’ve reported, authorities discovered Dossett’s 11-month-old son Carsen passed away with fentanyl and other drugs in his systemback in October of 2023.

(WFIE) - The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office officials announced they have achieved their goal of equipping every one of our patrol cruisers with an automated external defibrillator (AED). The AEDs were obtained through donations received over the past 2 years from several local businesses that include Firehouse Subs, Glenn Family Services and the Kentucky Farm Bureau.

According to police, 16-year-old Arianna Trumbo was last seen on May 3. She was last seen wearing black shorts, a black hoodie and clear glasses.
