With the next volume of ILA Sawt taking place tomorrow on 7th June, Pandemonium reminisces back on the last edition, in this article by Aasiyah Faryal…Amman, Jordan – From the outside, an innocuous-looking house in Jabal Al Weibdeh seemed peaceful. But hidden behind the shrubs was the venue for ILA Sawt, a subsidiary of ILA travel, who at the end of July 2023 hosted an intimate moonlit night of music featuring artist, writer and singer, Hayat Abu Samra, and Palestinian singer Lina Makoul.

Amman, Jordan – On the warm Summer’s night of 27th June, tucked away behind Amman’s Second Circle, Eostrix hosted a magical live set. Through the archways of the venue’s rustic elegant entrance was Hiya, preparing to perform her set. Despite her nervousness, her excitement had the new artist almost giddy. Also known as Yasmeen Ghantous, Hiya is a Jordanian artist, performer, singer and songwriter, with Palestinian/Lebanese heritage.
