    The annual St. Jude Memphis Marathon attracts thousands of runners from all across the country, each united together in their goals of supporting the children and families battling cancer at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. This year, the race will be held on Dec. 7, and among the runners will be junior Union University student Lindsey Dismuke, who holds St. Jude very close to her heart. Her connection to the race is deeply personal due to her family’s connection to the hospital.

    Union University’s annual Family Weekend included Union Night on the evening of September 28, although this year’s annual event was relocated to inside and around the George M. Savage Memorial Chapel due to unexpected rainfall. Despite the rain, families arrived with umbrellas in tow for the evening’s activities. At 83 years old, Cull is the owner of God’s Nature Nursery, a small plant nursery he operates out of Bethel Springs, TN. While some may presume this to be simply a side hustle, for Cull, it is much more. It is a tangible representation of a long-time passion that is now flourishing.
