    The EU has banned imports of styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR) and carbon black from Russia in its latest package of sanctions. The ban adopted by the European Council and announced on 25 February includes other synthetic rubbers such as solution-polymerized SBR and butadiene rubber. SBR and carbon black are key feedstocks in the production process for vehicle tires.
