The Kebbi State Government says it has spent over N21 billion on palliatives and livelihood improvement initiative. The Commissioner for Information and Culture, Alhaji Yakubu Ahmed, who disclosed this, said the amount covered distribution of solar powered irrigation pumps, fertilisers and financial support to those in need.

The Police in Kaduna State have arrested a fake soldier allegedly involved in armed robbery and extortion in the state. Spokesperson for the command, ASP Mansir Hassan, in a statement, yesterday, said Ya’u Ja’afar, the primary suspect, was captured by vigilant officers of the Millennium City Police Division following a citizen’s report.

Sir Ahmadu Bello International Airport (SABIA), Birnin Kebbi, Kebbi State, will commence flight operation to Abuja with NG Eagle Airline on February 7, this year. Ahmed Idris, Chief Press Secretary to Kebbi State Governor, made this known in a statement. It will be recalled that the Kebbi State International Airport was among the five airports taken over by the Federal Government.
