This massive LEGO Battle of Hoth from Star Wars includes thousands of pieces and tons of easter eggs. The Battle of Hoth is one of the most iconic scenes in Star Wars. It was the first time, and still one of the relatively rare times, that we get to see a major ground battle in Star Wars. It introduced a ton of super cool vehicles. And, spoilers, the good guys lose. All of that really set the tone for The Empire Strikes Back leading many to rate it as the best Star Wars movie of them all.

Take a look at what other books we might be getting for Warhammer: The Old World in 2025. It’s a busy time for Warhammer: The Old World and it’s fans. This weekend see Wood Elves released as well as Beastmen going up for pre-order. We also know that Grand Cathay is coming sometime this year. That’s five armies in one year, which is a lot, as many as we got all of last year! However four of them will be out in the first half of the year.

Take a look at the recent Bay Area Open winning list for Warhammer: The Old World, and why it works. This last weekend saw the 33 person Bay Area Open take place. BAO is one of the longest running major events in the US, and this year they ran a major TOW two-day event. This event is one of the growing number of large Warhammer: The Old World event we’ve seen and hopes to grow overtime. With 33 players, it’s not the largest event we’ve seen but it is a good sized event for TOW.

We would throw good money at LEGO for Ultimate Collectors Series versions of these Star Wars ships! Bring on the UCS sets!Starting in 2000 the Ultimate Collectors Series (UCS) has put out some of the best Star Wars LEGO kits around. This sub-line of Star Wars LEGOs is aimed at making bigger more complex sets that are normally supposed to be displayed like collector pieces.

The new Wood Elf Magic Lore of the Wild is something to get excited about in Warhammer: The Old World. The new Wood Elf Arcane Journal is out for pre-order and hitting shelves soon. Earlier this week I took a look at it and why I think it’s a great book and addition to the game. One of the real stand-out sections in it is the new Lore of the Wild, a full new magic lore for the Elves of a Woodsy persuasion.

Take a look at how the new Warhammer: The Old World Arcane Journal boots the Wood Elf army. After a not super long wait we’ve got out next Arcane Journal: Wood Elf Realms. It looks like for whatever reason they’ve leapfrogged Beastmen to not be the last book to come out in an edition. Good for them! Now I’ve been a bit harsh on the last couple of AJ’s we’ve gotten. I didn’t think either the Empire or High Elves had strong entries, thought they could be thematic.

The Red Keep is one of the most iconic settings in Game of Thrones. It is the royal place of the Seven Kingdoms and is where the Iron Throne is located. First built by Aegon the Conqueror not long after his conquest, it has served as the seat of government for the Seven Kings since then.

Warhammer: the Old World’s forest is calling. Here’s a few big things we hope to get out of the Wood Elf Arcane Journal. Wood Elfs have a brand new Arcane Journal going on pre-order in a week! This is pretty exciting news as for once they aren’t the last army to come out. Now this is a bit surprising as based on the earlier previews Beastmen were supposed to come out first, but it looks like the Wild Hunt got a little impatient and jumped the gun this spring.
