new Delhi, April 12 -- Growth in India's industrial activity, as measured by the Index of Industrial Production (IIP), slowed down to 2.9% in February compared to a 5.2% growth in January. In terms of sectors, the slowdown in IIP in February was the result of a slowdown in manufacturing and mining, which have weights of 77.6% and 14.4% in the index. Manufacturing growth slowed to 2.9%, compared to 5.8% in January.
