Sweet Valley was my escape during a difficult childhood—and its inhabitants will be part of me forever. 'Men are on the ballot but women are key'Getty ImagesIt’s 2010 and my first general election working in Westminster. I’m an intern for a small business lobby group, devouring all the news I possibly can about the parties and what they stand for, so excited to feel part of the action even though I was little more than a glorified note-taker at the time.
