As you get further into the fall semester, you might notice that, despite the official midterm date having passed, your exams and papers aren’t quite yet over. It’s a common joke at Columbia that midterm season never ends, and sometimes, instead of studying in smaller increments a week in advance of a midterm, Columbia students turn to pulling all-nighters to get work done. But this can make it difficult to not burn out.

Coming off of midterm season, you may find yourself more burned out than you were previously. You might be spending all your free time this semester holed up at Butler and sustaining yourself on the nitro cold brew from Ferris. Alternatively, you may find yourself falling further and further behind in your classes, choosing instead to spend your time in your dorm or out with friends.
