Formed by the legendary Joe Satriani, G3 embarked on their first-ever tour in 1996. Joining Satriani were his former student, Steve Vai and guitarist and singer Eric Johnson. Since 1996, G3 has taken various forms with other musicians joining Satriani. Legendary performers like Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Yngwie Malmsteen and Phil Collen of Def Leppard have all embarked on tours under the G3 name.

The Allman Brothers’ final show was on Oct. 28, 2014, at the Beacon Theatre in New York City. Now, 10 years later, the music of The Allman Brothers is carried on by the son duo of Devon Allman and Duane Betts. Allman and Betts brought their Allman Betts Family Revival to the legendary Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, New York. The Capitol Theatre has hosted rock and roll legends like Janis Joplin, Traffic, Pink Floyd and the Grateful Dead.

Guns N’ Roses‘ most recent and last record, Chinese Democracy, leaves fans split with a distinct line down the middle. You either like the record or despise it. While the record is controversial among fans, they have their fair share of reasons. Fans like the music because it’s under the Guns N’ Roses name and has some bright spots. After the release of their fourth record, Dead Club City, the alternate rock band, Nothing But Thieves brought their “Dead Club City” tour to the Rooftop at Pier 17 in New York City. On the same day as the New York Rangers home opener and a New York Yankees win the playoffs, fans from the metropolitan area flooded the venue. Fans were all packed into the rooftop venue with the idyllic Brooklyn Bridge in the background.
