Since 1996, G3 has taken various forms with other musicians joining Satriani. The Allman Brothers’ final show was on Oct. 28, 2014, at the Beacon Theatre in New York City. Now, 10 years later, the music of The Allman Brothers is carried on by the son duo of Devon Allman and Duane Betts. Allman and Betts brought their Allman Betts Family Revival to the legendary Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, New York. The Capitol Theatre has hosted rock and roll legends like Janis Joplin, Traffic, Pink Floyd and the Grateful Dead.

Guns N’ Roses‘ most recent and last record, Chinese Democracy, leaves fans split with a distinct line down the middle. You either like the record or despise it. While the record is controversial among fans, they have their fair share of reasons. Fans like the music because it’s under the Guns N’ Roses name and has some bright spots. Others hate the album because only Axl Rose is the remaining original member. By this point in the band’s career, 11 years had passed since Slash and Duff McKagan left.

After the release of their fourth record, Dead Club City, the alternate rock band, Nothing But Thieves brought their “Dead Club City” tour to the Rooftop at Pier 17 in New York City. On the same day as the New York Rangers home opener and a New York Yankees win the playoffs, fans from the metropolitan area flooded the venue. Fans were all packed into the rooftop venue with the idyllic Brooklyn Bridge in the background.

Jerry Cantrell is best known as the guitar gunslinger from Alice In Chains. But, the mastermind on guitar is set to release his newest solo record, I Want Blood on Oct. 18, 2024. The rock epic features many familiar names like Guns N’ Roses, Velvet Revolver bassist Duff McKagan and Metallica bassist Robert Trujillo. The record has nine songs in total and a run time of 46 minutes. The album will make fans reminiscent of Alice In Chains material and past solo records.

A young and upcoming band out of Los Angeles California named Dirty Honey blasted onto the scene with their debut EP back in 2019. Since then, they have released two excellent records starting with their debut self-titled record in 2021. At the time, the quartet of singer Marc LaBelle, guitarist John Notto, drummer Corey Coverstone, and bassist Justin Smolian led the charge in the rock and roll revolution. The record contains eight songs and has a run time of 30 minutes.

There is so much to like about this 11-song record, which starts with “Judas Mind.” The four-and-a-half-minute song starts slow but quickly jumps right into a hard rock pattern.

Kenny Wayne Shepherd is set to release his highly anticipated record Dirt On My Diamonds, Vol. 2 on Sept. 18, 2024. This is the follow-up to the amazing Dirt On My Diamonds, Vol. 1 which was released last year. The entire record has a run time of 31 minutes and contains just eight tracks. But, don’t let the smaller run time and eight songs fool you. This record is a blues rocker’s dream. It gets funky at times, incorporates great, classic blues sounds and is overall a fantastic listen.
