1. IntroductionThe planning and performing of mobile robot tasks in the presence of human operators while sharing the same workspace requires a high level of stability and safety. Research activities regarding navigation, obstacle avoidance, adaptation and collaboration between robots and human agents have been widely reported [1,2]. Multiple target tracking for robots using higher control levels in a control hierarchy are discussed in [3,4].
