Wimbledon bosses revealed a new plan for completing the tournament on schedule as rain continued to cause a major backlog of matches. The mixed doubles final was meant to be played on Thursday but has been put back to Sunday. That event is so far behind schedule that nine first-round matches had yet to be completed by Tuesday afternoon because of wet weather delays.

Britain's Neal Skupski continued his quest for a fourth Wimbledon title in as many years with two doubles wins on Monday. His day began with a 7-5 6-3 victory in the third round of the men's doubles with New Zealand's Michael Venus, as they beat Americans Christopher Eubanks and Evan King. Skupski later teamed up with American Desirae Krawczyk in the mixed doubles, renewing the partnership that brought them titles on the south-west London grass in 2021 and 2022.

Britain's Alfie Hewett and Gordon Reid progressed with wins in the men's wheelchair singles and doubles at the Australian Open on Wednesday. Singles top seed Hewett beat Chile's Alexander Cataldo 6-0 6-2 in the quarter-finals, while fourth seed Reid beat Dutchman Tom Egberink 7-5 6-2. The Britons, who could meet in the singles final, later teamed up to reach the doubles semi-finals in Melbourne. Meanwhile, Andy Lapthorne advanced in the quad doubles but lost in singles.
