A couple who ran a filthy Chinese takeaway in Newcastle that closed last September have been fined thousands of pounds after pleading guilty to failing to comply with food safety and hygiene regulations. The takeaway, which was called Spicy China, was owned by Wong & Wong Ltd and ran by company directors Mr Chi Kong Wong and Mrs Kwan Yuk Wong, who are husband and wife. The hygiene levels were so poor at the takeaway in Westerhope that it was dropped by delivery firm Just Eat.
