SALT LAKE CITY — The anti-human trafficking nonprofit Operation Underground Railroad (OUR) has a new CEO for the third time in three years. Tammy Lee took over in February 2024 after multiple women filed lawsuits against the company's founder and former CEO Tim Ballard, accusing him of sexual misconduct. The nonprofit was also named in the lawsuits. The female accusers also worked for OUR. Lawsuits are pending. The nonprofit "permanently separated" from Ballard after the accusations were made.

UTAH COUNTY, Utah — The Utah County Sheriff's Office has released a statement saying the department was shocked at a recent decision to dismiss charges against a man accused of sexual assault against a girl who was "6 or 7 years old" in the mid-1980s. David Hamblin faced six felony charges in Utah County before they were dismissed with prejudice due to discovery issues. Lawmakers credited stories by FOX 13 News, showing how some school districts failed to provide teacher bullying data to the public. The current definitionUtah’s current definition of “bullying” is broader than some might expect.
