By Adam LucasReece Holbrook only remembers the good times from hanging out with Dr. Stuart Gold. He remembers the water gun fights, running around the hospital, and the laughter. He doesn't remember the spinal taps, the tears, and the chemo. As part of ACC Baseball Cancer Awareness Week, the Diamond Heels will wear gold wristbands in today's game against Pittsburgh to recognize pediatric cancer awareness.

March 22, 2025 | Men's Basketball, Featured Writers, Adam LucasBy Adam LucasMILWAUKEE—This isn't going to be easy.                   The Carolina basketball season ended Friday night at the hands of Ole Miss, 71-64. Now we have to assess how to feel about that.                   Any end of the Carolina basketball season is bad. Well, except for 1982, and 1993, and 2005, and 2009, and 2017, and some of you still remember 1957.

By Adam Lucas1. Frustrating end to the season in Milwaukee, as Carolina falls to Ole Miss 71-64. 2. If you've watched this team, you've seen that game. For one of many times this year, Carolina played poorly and found itself with a 22-point deficit, then had to furiously rally to try to claw back into it. They got as close as two on a three-point play from RJ Davis with 1:09 left, but Sean Pedulla answered with a three-pointer. The Virginia Tech transfer had 14 second half points and 20 for the game.

March 19, 2025 | Men's Basketball, Featured Writers, Adam LucasBy Adam LucasDAYTON—That felt good.                   Carolina opened NCAA Tournament play by obliterating San Diego State in the First Four, rolling to a 95-68 victory that was not as close as the score indicated.                   After 51 hours of hate, it was a satisfying win. We'll get to that. But it was also a very, very good display of basketball.                   Carolina quite simply did everything better than San Diego State.

By Adam Lucas1. Carolina put on a clinic in dispatching San Diego State, 95-68. The Tar Heels have now won seven of the past 11 games by double figures. 2. That might be the most complete game Carolina has played this year--especially when given the level of competition. The Tar Heels defended fiercely, shot accurately and simply did everything well. It was a beauty to watch.

Ain’t gonna lie the @carolina_pod #RHC of “Major League” is already awesome and I haven’t even gotten past the music part yet. Got me all back in my memories because that was right in my wheelhouse back in the day. Such great tunes. 80’s music rocks! @JonesAngell @jadamlucas

Reminder: @TheRamsClub is looking for member input on any/all of these questions with a deadline of tomorrow: Who is your favorite Tar Heel storyteller and/or what is your favorite Tar Heel Sports Network call? Who do you feel has been important to enhancing your Carolina

Feels like it is from another time (because it is). Also would make a really good template for a @UNCFootball throwback jersey at some point.

Never know what you'll stumble across. Great view of the old press box in Kenan Stadium pre-1988. Referee signaling safety as LT rampages through Georgia Tech backfield. Shirts and ties in the background and no doubt one of those 1 p.m. kick-offs. https://t.co/KMQaj0aU30
