Dentistry is very much a people profession. As a dental professional, you are engaging with patients on a daily basis, helping them out of pain and providing health advice tailored to them. But you will interact with many other individuals through work in addition to your patients. These include practice colleagues, peers from further afield, mentors or mentees, tutors and instructors, lecturers, product suppliers and contract providers, to name just a few.

There is so much more to designing a dental practice than determining the best position for the dental chair or the reception desk. Not only do you have to think about building regulations, best practice compliance, space optimisation and brand representation, but you also have to consider how your patients – and your team – will interact with the space.

The subject of design is an important one for the modern dental practice. Whether you’re starting from scratch or refreshing an existing business, there are many different aspects to think about. Importantly, great design isn’t just about making the space functional – it’s about making people feel something. The construction, layout and aesthetic of the space should all come together to evoke emotion and subconsciously guide both staff and patients on a seamless journey through the practice.

PETA disrupted the “Best in Show” presentation at Crufts – the world’s largest “pedigree” dog show. A PETA supporter holding a sign reading, “Boycott Breeders” attempted to storm the arena floor before the winner was announced. Activists also unfurled a banner in the stands among the audience with the same message. The peaceful protest was met with physical aggression from security staff, who hit and punched activists before dragging them out of the arena.

Trump’s trade war should not have been a shock. He’s wildly unpredictable but on this issue the shock is that he’s doing what he promised In 2016 he talked of the tariffs he would impose “Our original Constitution did not even have an income tax. Instead, it had tariffs.”

Why countries benefit from trade even if one country can produce everything more efficiently than the other Take Portugal & England &:wine & cloth. Portugal may produce both more efficiently. But if Portugal is significantly more efficient in wine & only slightly better in cloth

One of the ironies of Trump’s tariffs is that it was our tariffs, specifically the 1773 Tea Act, that so outraged the American colonists & led to the Boston Tea Party & America’s fight for independence with the cry ‘No taxation without representation’ https://t.co/LRaFEa1SuS
